This hanging tissue-paper rainbow will add a splash of color to your kitchen or playroom! Try this just in time for St. Patrick’s Day kids activities or for a lesson in colors! Irish legend has it that you can’t track down a pot of gold unless you find the rainbow first. Kids can make one of their own from just a few simple art supplies.
You’ll Need:
• A paper plate, cut in half
• Long, thin strands of tissue or crepe paper in rainbow colors
• Glue
• Scissors
• Hole puncher
• Large handful of cotton balls
• Thin string for hanging
Spread a thin line of glue along the edge of the paper plate, then attach the tissue papers. Tissues will be fragile; let them dry fully.

Dot glue all over the remainder of the plate and attach the cotton balls to create a full, fluffy cloud. Let dry.
Punch two holes at the top of the cloud and run the string through, tying in a ribbon or knot to create a hanger.
This lucky rainbow looks great hanging in a window, where the early spring sunshine can light up its colorful bands.
